The Nishitha Degree College campus at Nizamabad is spread over an area of over 39371 Sq Fts of built up area & 12000 Sq.Fts of open space for parking and sports facilities. The teaching- learning process is facilitated in 26 class rooms, 12 tutorial rooms, two specialized laboratories, and one computer centre with high speed Internet connectivity, a seminar room and a fully automated library. The entire college campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
The Library is well-stocked and fully-computerized. It has around 11209 books covering almost all aspects of Science, Commerce & Management. It regularly subscribes to about 6 Periodicals including 7 daily newspapers in Telugu, English & Hindi . Internet and OPAC facility is also available. The Library has a “Book Bank” consisting of core texts books, which are issued to deserving students for the whole academic year. There is also a collection of audio-visual materials like maps, atlases, compact discs and audio-cassettes. The library has comfortable Reading Rooms spread over 600 Sq. Fts with a seating capacity of 100. It extends its current awareness services by providing newspapers/ magazines in the Staff Room and the Students’ Common Room. The library remains open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on all working days. It remains closed on Sundays and other gazetted holidays.
There is a one lab in the college with 40 terminals and Internet facilities for the students and teachers. These labs are also equipped with teaching aids such as LCD Projectors and Scanners. The College wants all its students to be conversant with modern learning aids. The entire college campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
Physics Laboratory spacious, well equipped with latest apparatus and sophisticated equipments. We also maintain well equipped laboratories and Labs are updated with sophisticated instruments every year. The departments are potential centers for research work.
The College has evolved effective method of teaching in the high-tech class-rooms which are highly ventilated and have good seating and lighting. Smart Board, LCD’s and Projectors used as teaching aids.
The College also has enough parking spaces allotted to increasing number of students who come by personal vehicles. There are separate parking spaces allotted for staff and the students.
To meet the emergency communication needs and to have a copy of essential topics from an expensive book, the college supports the students by providing Telephone and Photocopier facilities in the campus.
“A sound mind exists in a sound body”. Sports are a vital activity required to enhance the overall growth of the students. The college witnessed a spectacular achievement in the field of sports. It is well equipped with sufficient indoor hall and outdoor facilities – Chess, Carrom, Cricket, Basket Ball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Volley Ball, Shuttle Badminton, Tenni-Koit, long jump, high jump and Athletics.
The Career Counseling Cell has been providing career guidance to students s. The cell also organizes personality development camps and motivational programs. The placement cell was formed in 1995. With its efforts a campus interview was held in the college under the auspices of the famous software company, like WIPRO, TCS and Tech Mahindra.
The Centre for Environmental Studies of the college regularly conducts environment education classes for students and carries out project works on various environmental issues, holds seminars and also organizes awareness programmes.
The College offers a very safe and secured environment with 16 Close Circuit Cameras installed at all important places and round the clock security. The college also has fire fighting equipments in place.
These facilities are available in common floor-wise to suit every ones needs. To provide safe and clean drinking water, a state-of-the-art mineral water cooler has also been setup with constant supply of safe drinking water. Proper arrangements with great precautions are made for the differently able and persons with special needs.
The College provides Counseling services to students, throughout the academic session. An expert counselor is available for consultation on Saturdays –10.00 am. to 1.00pm.
Every student of the College will be provided with an Identity Card after her/his admission has been confirmed. This Card should always remain in her/his possession and should be produced as and when asked for. In case of its loss, the student will be required to get a duplicate one by making a payment of Rs.50/- and furnishing a copy of her/his photograph.
The College has a provision of a Doctor on Campus to attend to staff and students.
